「ヴァナフェス2010」詳報。FFXIの新アドオン，レベル

スクウェア?エニックスは2月28日，「ファイナルファンタジーXI」（以下，FFXI）のプレイヤーを対象としたオフラインイベント「ヴァナ★フェス2010 ?8周年だョ！全員集合」を，東京都の日本青年館にて開催した。
会場では，今後のFFXIにおけるさまざまなアップデート計画や新アドオン，そしてFFシリーズのMMOとしては後継作にあたる「ファイナルファンタジーXIV」（PC/PlayStation 3）の最新情報など，見逃せない情報が次から次へと公開された。
4Gamerではイベント開始直後に速報記事を掲載しており，またFFXI公式サイトでは充実したレポートも掲載されている。本稿では，これらの記事ではカバーしきれていない情報を中心にお伝えしていこう。

「アルタナの神兵」はいよいよクライマックスへ
“バトルエリアを拡張する”アドオン3作も登場

2007年11月のリリース以来長らく続いてきた「アルタナの神兵」のストーリーだが，今後数回の大規模アップデートを経て，いよいよクライマックスへと向かう。次回の大規模アップデートでは，ミッションを通じて，水晶大戦の最終決戦地として知られる“ズヴァール城”へと到達。ここを舞台としたカンパニエバトルも発生するようになる。そして，次々回のアップデートでは，ついにアルタナミッションが完結することが発表された。
同様に，アルタナミッションと並行して過去世界で繰り広げられてきた“3国クエスト”に関しても，次々回の大規模アップデートで完結することが明らかになった。アルタナミッションをクリアした人には，（これまでのほかのミッションと同様）アクセサリー類の報酬アイテム，そして3国クエストのクリア時には記念品的なアイテムが用意されているとのこと。アルタナ関連のミッションはこれをもって，一つの区切りを迎えることになりそうだ。

ゲームオン、「Lime Odyssey（仮）」独占ライセンス締結
ゲームオンは、韓国のSIRIUS Entertainmentとの間で、MMORPG「Lime Odyssey（仮）」の日本における独占ライセンス契約を締結したと発表した。
